My Girl

I don't even know what to write about this movie. It's just the loveliest movie ever. It's so sweet and touching and heart-breaking.

My Girl is about the friendship between this two kids, Vadda and Thomas. Vadda is hopelessly in love with one of her teachers and at the same time very busy trying to make her dad break up with his new girlfriend. All that without mentioning her crazy grandma. And, of course, Thomas is right by her side on every moment.

This movie is such a HUGE part of my childhood. I can't remember how many times me and my cousin watched this at my grandma's house. We cried every single time. Haven't watch it in a long, looooooong time, but more than 10 years later and I still cry. Actually, now that I'm older and can fully understand and appreciate the tenderness, it makes the whole thing much more heart-breaking.

My Girl is a must, if you haven't seen it yet you should do it as soon as possible. You won't regret it, just make sure you have tissues near by.

ps: My Girl is one of my favorites songs too. It's impossible to listen to it and not smile.

Post Grad

It's a nice movie. Nothing really mayor about it, but it's kinda funny and it's has some sweet moments. It's a good movie to just pass the time and not really think about anything.

Post Grad is about Ryden, a girl who has her whole life figured out since kindergarden, but life after college may not go exactly how she planned.

Basically that's it, but we also see a lot of Ryden's very unique family. I don't how to describe the movie exept for 'it's nice'. It's not great, but it's nice. It doesn't focus 100% on Ryden's carreer, nor on her romantic life, nor on her family, which gives it quite a few side stories but it doesn't go further on any. I'm not sure if I'm being clear, but what I'm trying to say is that Post Grad tell us a little about a lot, instead of focusing on one or two things and telling us a lot about a little, which makes it very superficial. It doesn't go beyond the furface with any side story. We don't know much about the characters, none of them, and it feels like the movie has some loose strings, so we don't really 'conect' with it.
I know I sound very confusing, but watch the movie and you'll understand what I mean. (Or not and you'll think that I'm completely koo-koo =D)

But I think all of us, at some point in our lives, can relate to that feeling of being 'stuck', seeing everyone around us moving forward while we are stuck. It doesn't feel nice, at all. So at least about this we all understand a litlle how Ryden feels.

Coming Soon - Source Code

Anyone here is a Jake Gyllenhaal fan? Or a sci-fi fan? Since I'm both, I thought I'd share with you guys the trailer for Jake's upcoming movie, which happens to be a sci-fi/action (or at least seems to be).

Seems nice, doesn't it?? I have a feeling that I'm gonna like it. Will watch it for sure, even though Michelle Monaghan brings me back some not so nice memories (let's pray for Source Code to be nothing like Eagle Eye ).

Love Sci-fi, love action and love Jake, can it get any better?? I sure hope so! ;)

Edukators

 This movie is incredible!

Edukators is about these two friends who try to fight this crazy capitalism we live in. When a third person joins the group everything goes wrong and now they  have to fix the mess they are in.

I absolutely love is movie! Seriously, I think I've talked about it with pretty much every person I know. I'm always saying 'You HAVE to watch this!!'. I can't get over how smart Jan and Peter were to come up with the Edukators thing. Kinda wish I had had the idea! haha

I gotta warn you, though, it's a German movie. It's long and slow and it's not a very 'entertainment' kind of movie. You may be wondering why I like it so much. Here's your answer: it makes you think! Makes you put lots of things into perspective and it has lots of great lines and amazing dialogs. Amazing!

I swear to you is completely worth watching. And you feel really funny after you watch it, you feel like doing great things and being revolutionary and changing the world! (I still feel like that everytime I watch it)

Oh, and a huge plus: Daniel Brühl, which as you guys already know means this is an awesome movie. ;)

You MUST watch this one!!!

Jedes Hertz ist eine revolutionär Zelle
(every heart is a revolutinary cell)

ps: Last year there was this massive black out where a live (and by massive I mean that whole state plus some near areas ran out of light). The black out was exactly at prime time and I couldn't help but wonder if the Edukators had something to do with it. haha :)
